Multiphysics explores how an integrated process-simulation environment can be developed with a FOSS architecture, open scientific access and explicit separation between physical models, numerical methods and software implementations. The software is the long-term engineering artifact; modelling, numerical, experimental and validation problems encountered along the way are expected to generate independent scientific contributions and publications.
